Carnival season started all over Europe today at 11 and 11 minutes (am). Similar to the other carnival towns over the Europe also Ptuj got its carnival prince for the new season – he will rule the town during 2012 Kurentovanje festival. This years prince is Vlado Hvalec that will carry a title “noble Jurij Oprossnitzer, Ptuj castle capitan”. This inauguration event was also an official opening of the 2012 Kurentovanje festival.
